The short film The Divine Tragedy: The Tower, by Canadian artist Céline B. La Terreur, is now officially registered for the 87^th Academy Awards (OSCARS)

The short film The Divine Tragedy: The Tower, by Quebec artist Céline B. La Terreur, is now officially registered for the 87th Academy Awards.  

Thanks to the support of Céline B. La Terreur’s New York distributor, New World Cinemas, the movie will be screened in Los Angeles on September 22 - 23 & 24, 2014.

This short film presents the tragedy of the Duplessis Orphans from a feminist viewpoint.

This short film premiered at the Joyce Yahouda Gallery in Montréal when it was included in Céline B. La Terreur’s solo exhibition of paintings, sculptures, performances and a short film entitled The Divine Tragedy: The Tower. 

The film was later presented at the Cannes Marché du Film and as an American premiere at the New York City International Film Festival in the summer of 2014

Le court-métrage « La Divine Tragédie : La Tour », de l’artiste Québécoise Céline B. La Terreur, est officiellement en considération pour les prochaines nominations aux Academy Awards (Oscars)

Le court-métrage La Divine Tragédie : La Tour, de l’artiste Québécoise Céline B. La Terreur, entre dans la course aux Oscars, dans le cadre de la 87e édition des Academy Awards.

Avec le soutien du distributeur New Yorkais de l’artiste, New World Cinemas, le film sera projeté à Los Angeles les 22, 23 et 24 septembre 2014.

Ce court-métrage présente la tragédie des Orphelins de Duplessis dans une perspective féministe.

Cette œuvre a été présentée en première mondiale à la Galerie Joyce Yahouda, en janvier 2013, dans le cadre d’une exposition solo de Céline B. La Terreur - exposition réunissant un corpus de tableaux, sculptures et performances de l’artiste sous le titre même de La Divine Tragédie : La Tour. 

Le court-métrage a été présenté par la suite en première Européenne au Marché du Film du Festival de Cannes et en première Américaine au New York City International Film Festival.
